Although I created Sea Aloe gold with iodine malabsorption in mind, it appears to have a much wider field of application. These are two plants that have been used for thousands of years to the benefit of man’s health. While science is just starting to get a small peek into the healing powers of kelp and aloe, there is much that remains a mystery about these mystical, magical agents of healing.

Below is a list of healing properties ascribed to aloe by science:

Studies show that aloe:
  • Improves wound healing
  • Stimulates the immune system
  • Contains many immunoprotective factors
  • Speeds healing of epithelial tissues
  • Heals stomach ulcers
  • Has antimicrobial propertities
  • Is effective against staph areus, strep, e.coli, and methicillin resistant staph aureus
  • Has anti–inflammatory properties
  • Prevents pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer and lung cancer
  • Is effective in the treatment of diabetes
  • Contains a potent antioxident compound
  • Is effective against the coxsackie virus
  • stimulates macrophage cytokine production, nitric oxide release, surface molecule expression, and cell morphologic changes in immune function
  • Is fungcidal against candida
  • Heals cellular injury from radiation
  • Contains glutathione peroxidase (a major antioxidant enzyme, the integrity of the cellular membranes depend heavily on this enzyme. This enzyme is found in large amounts in the cytoplasm of healthy people who are not protein deficient.)

  • Contains iodine that can prevent and treat goiter

Brice E. Vickery, D.C. graduated from Lincoln Chiropractic College in 1951 and took post graduate work at Lincoln College and Spears Chiropractic Hospital.
